On behalf of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and on her own behalf, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas, congratulated the Storting of the Kingdom of Norway on its national holiday – Constitution Day. Wishing every success and harmony to the Storting in its important daily parliamentary activities, the Speaker of the Seimas noted that the importance of bilateral and regional cooperation was more evident than ever at this time of challenges.

‘Lithuania and Norway are building a sustainable and credible strategic partnership through close bilateral dialogue. I am convinced that the development of parliamentary cooperation at both bilateral and regional levels can help to support countries that are currently at geopolitical crossroads. Beyond doubt, the forthcoming joint visit of the Speakers of the Nordic and Baltic Parliaments (NB 8) to the Republic of Moldova will become such a gesture of support,’ reads the congratulatory letter.

The joint visit of the Speakers of the Nordic and Baltic Parliaments (NB 8) to the Republic of Moldova is scheduled for May 30– June 1 2022.
