Baltic Military Conference to Bring Together Defence Decision-Makers and Renowned Experts

On March 27–28, decision-makers, senior military officers, and defence experts will gather in Vilnius for the 5th Baltic Military Conference, which will be held at City Hall. This year’s conference will focus on a new era of warfare and resilience, addressing responses to hostile states

One of the most distinguished defence conferences in Lithuania – this international event – will bring together leading figures to discuss the most important strategic defence issues at the strategic level. Among the high-profile attendees will be Admiral Sir Keith Edward Blount, NATO’s Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe (DSACEUR), Lieutenant General Andreas Hoppe, Vice-Chief of the German Defence Staff, and Major General John R. Pippy, Commander of the Pennsylvania National Guard, which has supported the Lithuanian Armed Forces for three decades. Numerous other senior officers, decision-makers, and defence analysts will also take part.

“The Baltic Military Conference, organized by the Ministry of National Defence and the General Jonas Žemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania, is aimed at security and defence professionals. The conference brings together global decision makers and experts to share perspectives and explore solutions to regional, European, and global security challenges,” says Col. Ričardas Dumbliauskas, Commandant of the General Jonas Žemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania.

The Baltic Military Conference has previously welcomed many prominent defence policy professionals, renowned experts, and senior military officers. Past participants have included Ryan D. McCarthy, former US Secretary of the Army, Oleksiy Reznikoff, former Minister of Defence of Ukraine; Rajmund Andrzejczak, retired general and former Chief of the Polish General Staff; and Mark Esper, former US Secretary of Defence, among others.

Held under the patronage of Gitanas Nausėda, President of the Republic of Lithuania, the conference is organised by the Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania and the General Jonas Žemaitis Military Academy. The Lithuanian Armed Forces is a key partner of the event.

The conference will be held in English. Participation is by invitation only.
