Edvinas Linkus: UAB Traidenis strengthens its position in Europe through quality and long-term partnerships

UAB Traidenis, a Lithuanian-owned company based in Alytus and celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, manufactures glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) tanks and biological wastewater treatment systems while steadily expanding its export footprint across European markets. According to the company’s Sales Manager, Edvinas Linkus, the business is focused not only on product quality but also on building long-term relationships with partners.

Across Europe, business customers increasingly value short production lead times, clear technical documentation, and certified solutions that comply with both local and EU construction and environmental standards. As a result, choosing a manufacturer is no longer based solely on the product itself. Reliability, a clear division of responsibilities, and long-term business stability have become equally important factors.

Export growth built on trust and consistency

Edvinas Linkus notes that Traidenis’ export performance is the result of a consistent long-term strategy rather than short-term market conditions.

“In many European markets, trust still matters more than price alone. Our goal is not to close one-off deals, but to develop long-term partnerships built on mutual reliability. We want Traidenis to be seen as a manufacturer partners can truly depend on,” says Linkus.

Today, the company exports to more than 20 European countries. Its key markets include Scandinavia, Germany, the Benelux region, and Central Europe. Although each market has its own regulatory and technical specifics, customers consistently value production flexibility, certified products, and reliable technical support.

Tailored solutions for different sectors

One of Traidenis’ main product lines is custom-manufactured GRP tanks designed for a wide range of applications, including industry, agriculture, infrastructure, and other engineering systems.

The company also produces biological domestic wastewater treatment systems for private households as well as municipal infrastructure and development projects. These systems comply with the EN 12566-3:2005+A2:2013 standard and can be installed even in challenging geological conditions, such as areas with high groundwater levels.

In addition to manufacturing, Traidenis supports its customers with technical consultations. Its engineering team helps identify the most suitable solutions and adapt them to the specific requirements of each project.

Regional manufacturing as a competitive advantage

According to Linkus, more and more European customers are turning to regional manufacturers as they look for reliable alternatives to imports from third countries.

“Price is no longer the only issue discussed in negotiations. Partners want to know that the manufacturer will respond quickly, provide all the necessary documentation, and adapt to local requirements. In that respect, companies operating in the Baltic region have a clear competitive advantage,” he says.

Growth driven by a clear strategic direction

Looking ahead, Traidenis is pursuing ambitious but measurable growth targets.

“Our long-term aim is to capture around 10% of the market in each new country we enter. It is an ambitious target, but also a realistic one when supported by a strong team, effective communication, and well-managed production processes,” Linkus explains.

The company’s steady expansion reflects its ambition to strengthen its position in Europe and become one of the leading regional suppliers of GRP tanks and biological wastewater treatment systems. To achieve this, Traidenis continues to invest in its reputation, engineering expertise, and sustainable long-term partnerships.
