“Enerstena Group” manufactured two condensing economizers for natural gas fired energy units in Denmark. As far as we know, we are the first to supply Lithuanian gas economizers both to Denmark and the Western market. “Enerstena Group” has engineered and produced two condensing economizers for two energy units in Silkeborg district heating plant. Each energy unit is of 200 MW. One unit has enough power to heat more than a half of Kaunas city. Works under the contract signed this spring are scheduled for completion in summer of 2017.
“This is our first gas condensing economizer order for the Western market. This proves the growing trust in Lithuanian manufacturers and experience of our energy professionals. Our goal is to spread the word about reliability and advantages of boiler-plant equipment made in Lithuania, also about our achievements in the engineering sector and to expand Group’s export directions” says “Enerstena Group” general manager Virginijus Ramanauskas.
For “Enerstena Group” this order is exclusive as economizers for Denmark district heating plant are subject to high technological and qualitative requirements. We have carried out complex calculations and explored new and individualized solution for engineering and manufacturing procedures. We are really proud that our offer has been accepted. Client’s representatives from Sweden and Denmark have repeatedly visited the “Enerstena Group” companies prior to signing the contract and during our cooperation to ensure the high quality of production.
Economizers are also unique for their size: each of them is up to 12 meters long, 14 meters in height and 5 meters in width. Approximately 200 kilometres of pipes were used for production of both economisers. No wonder that each economizer weighs nearly 200 tonnes. Due to its abnormal size, the equipment had to be transported in several shipments: privately escorted road tractors travelled late at night on a specially planned route. As of September, 8 road tractors loaded with parts of condensing economizers have reached Denmark. Last pieces of the equipment were transported to Silkeborg by 4 road tractors in October. In November, condensing economizers will be fully assembled and will be set on the base. Commissioning and adjustment works will be started in spring.
“This project is also unique for its internationality. Condensing economizers are engineered and manufactured in “Enerstena Group” (Lithuania), general contractor is the Swedish company “Midroc Automation”, project coordinator – employee of “Midroc Automation” branch in Germany, client – Silkeborg district heating plant (Denmark). Thus, this project is not only technologically challenging, it also allows us to become a part of an international network of energy companies” says V. Ramanauskas.
“Enerstena group” consists of seven companies in Lithuania, as well as branches in Finland, Latvia, Estonia and Ukraine. “Enerstenos grupė” is one of the largest energy enterprises in the Baltic countries. The company provides the most efficient energy generation solutions: engineers and manufactures biomass boilers, condensing economizers, furnaces and other technological equipment for biomass boiler-plants and gas-liquid fuel boiler-plants. The annual turnover of “Enerstena Group” in 2015 amounted to 28 million euros; the group employs nearly 340 people. Apart from its activity in Lithuania, the “Enerstena Group” implements projects in Belarus, Ukraine, Latvia, Poland and France.
