ERGO Group is a “Top Employer Europe” and ranks among the most attractive employers

The renowned “Top Employers Institute” has awarded the company its seal of approval in seven countries.

ERGO is one of the leading employers in Europe in 2026. The companies in Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, and Spain received the award for the first time, while Germany was recognized for the fourth time and Poland for the fifth time. This award underscores ERGO's ongoing commitment as an international employer to offering its employees an attractive working environment.

“We can be more than proud of this European award, which demonstrates our long-term commitment as an attractive employer not only in Germany but also across national borders,” says Dr. Lena Lindemann, Labour Director and member of the Board of Management of ERGO Group AG, responsible for Human Resources Germany and Human Resources International, among other areas. “And it is above all our employees who make this success possible.”

Every year, the Top Employers Institute honours companies that meet the highest standards in their human resources work. The certification process is based on a comprehensive survey and evaluation covering key areas of human resources management.

One of the areas in which ERGO performed particularly well across Europe was “Talent Acquisition.” With a clear strategy and a strong employer promise, the company is able to attract the right talent and retain them in the long term. The entire selection process for new employees follows a consistent, transparent framework. This is how ERGO ensures that all applicants have the same opportunities.

ERGO is also leading in “Wellbeing/Employee Health.” Here, the company has defined a group-wide strategy that focuses on the holistic health of its employees as an important success factor and promotes it accordingly. This is implemented in Germany and the respective national companies with specific measures that are open to all employees.

ERGO also impressed in other areas: Employees are actively involved in the development and implementation of the corporate strategy. Their ideas and commitment are expressly sought. When selecting and promoting managers, ERGO relies on clear key figures and objective data analyses to ensure equal opportunities and fairness. Finally, ERGO stands for the highest ethical standards: a comprehensive code of conduct defines the expected behaviour of all employees, while a specially developed framework ensures the ethical use of artificial intelligence in compliance with data protection regulations.
