11 February 2026— Four EU Mission-funded projects—Aurora, healthRiskADAPT, MOUNTADAPT, and ISMED‑CLIM - successfully hosted a joint cross‑project learning workshop titled “Challenges and Success Stories in Collecting Health and Climate Data.” The online event took place on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, from 13:00 to 14:30 CET, bringing together experts working at the intersection of climate and health.
This collaborative workshop marked a significant step in strengthening clustering, knowledge exchange, and coordination among EU-funded initiatives. Its goal was to foster synergies, support mutual learning, and align approaches and methodologies across projects addressing climate‑related health risks.
A total of 46 participants, representing 10 different EU initiatives, joined the session to share experiences, compare strategies, and discuss the practical challenges encountered when working with diverse health and climate datasets. The workshop created a dynamic environment for open dialogue, enabling participants to reflect on both obstacles and innovative solutions emerging from their project work.
Key themes explored during the workshop included:
Participants highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure that data-driven insights can effectively support climate adaptation strategies and protect public health across Europe. The workshop also opened the door to future collaboration opportunities, reinforcing the shared commitment of EU Mission projects to advance evidence-based climate resilience.
The sister projects plan to continue this collaborative momentum through additional joint activities, knowledge-sharing sessions, and coordinated communication efforts throughout 2026 and beyond.
A big thank‑you to all our speakers, as well as the external participants from other initiatives, for the insightful and engaging discussions.
