MT Group Awarded Landmark Contract with Amber Grid for Lithuania’s Next Generation Gas Compressor Station

MT Group, a leading European EPC contractor specializing in strategic energy and industrial infrastructure, has signed a €37 million turnkey EPC contract with Amber Grid, Lithuania’s national gas transmission system operator, for the modernization and expansion of the Jauniunai Gas Compressor Station.

This 3,5 year brownfield project will deliver a 5MW electric motor-driven natural gas compressor and all supporting infrastructure, including a 15km high-voltage power line, civil works, roads, buildings, pipelines, E&I&C, commissioning and integration into Lithuania’s national gas network. The new compressor will feature fully electric, zero direct emission operation, reducing greenhouse gas output while improving system reliability and flexibility.

• In Germany, MT Group is delivering large scale Project for Deutsche Energy Terminal (DET) at the Brunsbüttel LNG Terminal, a key component of Europe’s diversified energy supply strategy.
• In Lithuania, MT Group is executing Vilnius Green Hydrogen Plant EPC Project, deploying a 3MW PEM electrolyzer to pioneer large scale hydrogen production for heating and mobility sectors.
• In Denmark, MT Group is spearheading CO₂ Capture Project: engineering and construction of Balance of Plant (BoP) piping and equipment for the Ørsted Kalundborg CO₂ Hub, capturing 430,000t of CO₂ annually.
