After a long break the California sea lions returned to the Lithuanian Sea Museum with a new program. During the winter season the performance of sea lions along with the dolphin show can be seen on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
In summer, the museum will invite its visitors to watch the performances of marine animals in the area of tribunes. The outdoor pool was not the only novelty. During the reconstruction that lasted several years the new residential and healing, and they dolphin therapy pools were installed for the museum residents. The renewed Lithuanian Maritime Museum brings special value to the city of Klaipeda, attracting about half a million visitors from Lithuania and abroad every year.
The modernized Sea Museum Dolphinarium delighted the dolphin fans and attracted a big number of new visitors to Klaipėda already last year, thus making a positive impact on the development of tourism in the coastal region. We believe that in 2016, after full reconstruction of the Sea Museum, the number of tourists from Lithuania and neighbouring countries will grow further.
City companies providing accommodation and catering services welcome the increasing customer flows and are investing in the upgrade of facilities and equipment.
