Sigli and Sensotec Expand Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence

Digital transformation specialist Sigli and the Belgian company Sensotec have decided to extend their fruitful partnership beyond their initial five-year collaboration. Throughout this period, Sigli has played a pivotal role in assisting Sensotec with various projects, focusing on the development of artificial intelligence and learning tools designed for individuals with visual or cognitive impairments. The ongoing partnership aims to further refine Sensotec's AI capabilities and expand the functionality of their innovative solutions.

Sensotec is dedicated to enhancing learning tools for people with visual or cognitive challenges, with support from Sigli, a Lithuanian company recognised for its expertise in digital transformation and AI. Among their notable projects is "Web2Speech," an AI-powered browser extension that audibly reads web pages and highlights key summaries. This tool, developed alongside a speech server, dictionary, spell checker, and image dictionary, significantly enhances the user experience for those with disabilities.

Their collaboration has recently produced a new intuitive interface tailored for children and students facing learning difficulties. William De Prêtre, Head of Artificial Intelligence at Sensotec, credits their rapid and efficient progress to their professional partnership with Sigli. Thomas Simono, Managing Director of Sigli in the Benelux region, sees their collaborative efforts as a prime example of how AI can foster a more inclusive society. By refining learning processes, they aim to boost the success rates of students with disabilities.

Sigli is exploring the potential benefits of AI for the company by examining data accessibility, process optimisation, and automation possibilities. They also take into account data reliability, ethical guidelines, and forthcoming regulations. The broad collaboration between Sensotec and Sigli is set to enhance their innovative capabilities, ultimately making education and society more accessible and inclusive for a diverse range of students.
